Danzen Bakhalkhan
Danzen Bakhalkhan is a semi-fictional alter-ego and a stage persona of a real-life stand-up comedian Nikolai Bakhalkhanov, an indigenous from one of the national republics in Russia. He started his comedy journey in 2017 by playing the post-Soviet humorous competition game KVN. Tired of the editors' policy, he transitioned to the Siberian underground stand-up scene in Krasnoyarsk. After becoming a finalist in the Stand-up Kazan festival, a resident of Moscow English Comedy performing at Stand Up Store Moscow, he fled to Norway in search of political freedoms. He's so obbsessed with comedy that even has written a master thesis on connection of Stand-up with Social Justice, but it's better not to mention it because then comedy loses its magic. In his comedy special, he attempts to give justice the wide spectrum of social identities to create lovely affiliative comedy that is so lacking nowadays. In theory. Allegedly, he will not shy away from the most pressing issues of modernity: climate change, mental health and yo fat mom.
